Featured in numerous programs and with fans worldwide, his key characteristics are the unique design of his hand-hammered tsuchime pattern on the blade, and the overwhelming sharpness provided by the high-grade super gold high-speed steel. The Senko series is a beautiful collection with a "light" motif tsuchime pattern designed on the blade. As a traditional craftsman, each piece is handmade, making these precious blades with limited production. The handle was developed by Akihiko Sakamoto of Edit Japan, a Japanese traditional craft producer, in collaboration with Mai Kobo, a group of artisans in Tokushima Prefecture who possess a special technique called "indigo dyeing of wood." Building on the "Ai Houchou" (indigo knife) collaboration, which was a fusion of knives and indigo dyeing, this series further evolves the concept by incorporating "tenmoku," a pottery technique, and "kanshitsu," a lacquerware technique, into the indigo dyeing. It features a comfortable grip due to the uneven surface and a unique appearance from the indigo, which is said to have antibacterial properties. Please enjoy this one-of-a-kind collaboration knife, combining Kurosaki-san's "Senko" and the "Tenmoku" of indigo dyeing.

About the Saya (Sheath)
Originally, Mr. Yu Kurosaki's knives did not come with a saya, so Edit Japan developed an original saya for this series. All sayas are unified in a "kiritsukegata" shape, which has an angled tip. Furthermore, by making the cross-section a mountain-like two-sided shape, the design highlights the bright and shadowed parts of the tenmoku pattern. We have also added a feature that allows the saya and the pin to be tied together with a string, to prevent the pin from getting lost.

About Engraving
The blade of this product is engraved with Mr. Yu Kurosaki's signature (mei).
Please note that personalization is not available.

Handling / Precautions
- Do not cut or strike bones or frozen foods.
