His notable characteristics, which have earned him features in numerous TV programs and fans worldwide, are the distinctive hammer patterns he personally forges into the blade, and the overwhelming sharpness provided by the high-grade Super Gold High-Speed Steel. The Senko series features beautiful hammer patterns on the blade designed with "light" as their motif. As a traditional craftsman, each piece is handmade, making these precious blades limited in production. The handle was developed by Akihito Sakamoto of Edit Japan, a producer of traditional Japanese crafts, in collaboration with Mai Kobo, a group of artisans in Tokushima Prefecture specializing in the unique technique of "indigo dyeing on wood." Building on the "Ai Hōchō" (Indigo Knife) project, which combined knives with indigo dyeing, this collaboration has further evolved. This time, the Tenmoku (a pottery technique) and Kanshitsu (a lacquerware technique) are incorporated into the indigo dyeing, resulting in a distinctive look characterized by the grip comfort from the surface irregularities and the antimicrobial properties attributed to indigo. Please take a look at this one-of-a-kind collaboration knife, combining Mr. Kurosaki's "Senko" (flash) with indigo-dyed "Tenmoku."

<About the Sheath>
Originally, Mr. Yu Kurosaki's knives did not come with a sheath, so Edit Japan developed an original sheath for this product. All sheaths are unified in a Kiritsuke-gata (pointed tip) shape, where the tip of the blade has an angled design. Furthermore, by shaping the cross-section into a mountain-like two-sided form, the design highlights the bright and shadowed parts of the Tenmoku pattern. In addition, meticulous attention to detail has been given, such as tying the pin to the sheath with a string to prevent it from getting lost.

<About Engraving>
Mr. Yu Kurosaki's signature is engraved on the blade of this product.
Please note that we do not offer additional engraving.

<Handling/Precautions>
- Do not cut or strike bones or frozen foods.
