＜About Ai Houchou＞
This knife was completed through artisan collaboration, combining blades from Sakai, Osaka, with indigo dyeing from Tokushima.
The base wood for the handle is rot-resistant Hiba, dyed with indigo, which is believed to have antibacterial and deodorizing properties.
Furthermore, a waterproof coating compliant with the Food Sanitation Act is applied, preventing the indigo dye from fading.
This knife, which balances function and aesthetics, is also a new initiative for traditional revitalization, generating profit for multiple production areas with a single item.
