Collection: Indigo knife > Select from type > Gyuto
The Gyuto knife was introduced from the West during the Meiji period, along with the culture of eating meat.

With a narrower blade than a Santoku knife, it was originally designed for cutting meat.
However, it is also suitable for cutting large ingredients, so it is widely used as a larger version of the Santoku knife.
Its slimmer and more stylish appearance compared to the Santoku also makes it the second most popular type after the Santoku.
