<What is Bunka Knife>
It is the same type as the Santoku knife, which is a versatile knife widely used in households.
Compared to the Santoku knife, the tip of the blade is square instead of round,
A knife that makes it easier to cut into food is called a bunka knife.
Functionally, like the Santoku knife, it can be used with a variety of ingredients such as meat, fish, and vegetables.
It has sharper edges than the Santoku knife, making it an all-purpose knife that is especially popular overseas.

<About the Senkou Ai Tenmoku series>
The blade was made by Yu Kurosaki, a representative Japanese blacksmith. He has been featured on many TV programs and has fans all over the world. His main characteristics are the unique design called tsuchime, which he carved into his blades, and the overwhelming design made from high-grade steel called Super Gold High Speed Steel. Sharpness. The Senkou series is a beautiful series with a hammered design on the blade that uses the motif of "light". This is a valuable blade with a limited amount of production as it is handcrafted one by one by a traditional craftsman. The pattern was developed by Teruyuki Sakamoto of Edit Japan, a Japanese traditional crafts producer, in collaboration with Mai Kobo, a group of craftsmen in Tokushima Prefecture who have a special technique called ``wood indigo dyeing.'' In the wake of the previous work "Ai Knife," we have further developed the collaboration between artisans who dyed knives with indigo.This time, we will combine indigo dyeing with Tenmoku, a pottery technique, and Kanshitsu, a lacquer coating technique. ), the uneven surface makes it easy to hold, and the indigo color, which is said to have antibacterial properties, gives it a unique look. Please take a look at Mr. Kurosaki's one-of-a-kind collaboration knife with "Senkou" and indigo-dyed "Tenmoku".

<About the sheath>
Originally, Yu Kurosaki's knife did not have a sheath, so Edit Japan has developed an original sheath. All scabbards have a uniform shape called kiritsuke-gata, where the tip of the blade is angled. In addition, by making the cross section into a mountain-like two-sided shape, it is designed so that the bright and shadowed parts of the tenmoku stand out. In addition, to make it difficult for the pin to be inserted into the sheath to get lost, we have made small improvements such as making a hole in the pin and the sheath and tying it together with a navy leather string.

<About name engraving>
The inscription of Mr. Yu Kurosaki is engraved on the blade of this product.
Please note that we do not support name engraving.

<Handling/Precautions>
- Do not cut or hit bones or frozen foods. This may cause the blade to spill.
- Hand wash with water, remove moisture with a dry cloth, and air dry.
- Please refrain from using the dishwasher.
- Waterproof coating that complies with the Food Sanitation Act prevents the indigo from seeping outside.
Be careful not to chip or crack the handle due to strong impacts such as hitting it.
- Because it is handmade, there may be individual differences in the color and condition of the indigo dyeing.
